DR. MARCELA DOMINGUEZ

Dr. Marcela Dominguez, M.D., Executive Director

Dr. Marcela Dominguez is one of a select number of doctors in the country who is an expert in combining western and alternative therapies to provide state-of-the-art bioidentical hormone replacement, functional medicine, nutrition, and herbal therapy in a highly customized, and integrated protocol. She believes in combining many scientifically proven modalities to treat patients using an evidence-based, holistic approach that focuses on restoring normal bodily functions to optimize health.

She is the founding physician of Complete Care Family Medicine in Mission Viejo, California, and serves on staff at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center. Dr. Marcela Dominguez also sees patients at the UCI Susan Samueli Institute of Integrative Medicine and is currently working with other UCI faculty members, paving the way to perform clinical research in the field of Integrative Medicine and Integrative Cancer Therapy.

Dr. Marcela Dominguez was recently awarded the 2019 Physician of Excellence given by the Orange County Medical Association (OCMA). Each year the OCMA recognizes a select group of physicians who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and extraordinary patient care beyond the regular call of physician duty.

She completed a B.S. in Kinesiology at UCLA, obtained her M.D. from UC San Diego, then completed her Family Medicine Residency at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. During this time, she received the Mead Johnson Leadership Award, which annually recognizes a select group of 15 residents nationwide for their leadership and community involvement. Dr. Marcela Dominguez also served as the Chief Resident for Obstetrics at Long Beach Memorial, delivering hundreds of babies and increasing her expertise in reproductive and hormonal health.

From 1999 to 2006, Dr. Marcela Dominguez built a thriving group practice at St. Jude Heritage Health Foundation in Diamond Bar, California, then opened her private practice in July 2006.

In 2013 Dr. Marcela Dominguez completed a fellowship in Integrative Cancer Therapies under Dr. Mark Rosenberg and the Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.

She recently completed her fellowship with the Medical Association of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS); currently, Dr. Marcela Dominguez is in a precept program with local specialists who see pediatric patients with autism, ADHD, severe allergies, and other challenging conditions to strengthen her pediatric integrative medical knowledge so that she can help more patients.
